Thank you for visiting!
This site is designed for both potential and current MedServe Professional Health Corps members to gain additional
information about the Corps, provide the option to order service gear, and to provide other AmeriCorps projects
in the United States to utilize our best practices, forms, and other information!
IN BRIEF: The MedServe Professional Health Corps was established in February of 2005 in an effort to provide people
from all age ranges and walks of life to participate in the National Service Movement. Our MedServe members are
licensed healthcare providers, non-profit and public health leadership, free clinic staff members,
faith-based organizations and their volunteers, community lay health workers/peer educators, and general volunteer
members who live in our site partner communities.
As a Health Corps, we believe that any and all persons, regardless of their socioeconomic status, educational
attainment, ethnicity, gender, or age should have the ability to access healthcare services as well as engage in
volunteering in the healthcare sector.
The MedServe Professional Health Corps is an ongoing project of The Health Literacy Foundation
and funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service
